How MANY is One Million?

The Three Weird Men

The results of the experiment reminded me of “weird” men that I met at different times, years ago.

One was a retiree who was planning to venture into business. When we went to his office, he had a table with shiny metal bars… There’s a single GOLD BAR and the others were STEEL BARS. He told us that he touches the bars everyday and envisions himself immensely wealthy as he provides livelihood to his many employees.

Back then, what I thought about him was:

“This is guy is weird. Old and weird... You are vain, materialistic… Touching and feeling that single gold bar around those other metals. Mapagpanggap…”

I was wrong…

The second man has failed a lot in different aspects of his life but was still ever vibrant. He told me that I should take more and more risks… I’m still young… That I should build, innovate, create different more. He then told me one of the weirdest things. That he failed in his many businesses because having successful and thriving businesses does not make him a good businessman.

Back then, my reaction: “What?! What does that mean? Success and business did not satisfy you? What the hell does having a business does not make you a businessman? You have great businesses. That’s why you became a great businessman. Kahit naman baliktarin yun pareho lang. Ginawa mo pang parang riddle.”

I was again, wrong…

The third man is deeply spiritual. He told me that to serve and give back is a privilege. And if I can give and serve a lot that means that ALL aspects of my life are immensely abundant.

I agree.

I was much younger that time. So I asked him, if how would I know if I’m ready to venture into something, to step up, to take a huge responsibility. His weird answer? There’s no such thing as READY. You should not prepare to be READY. You’ll never be READY. If you start doing it then you are “READY”. And only upon acting on it you would KNOW that you’ve always been ready.”

Back then, my reaction: “Baliktad di ba? Dapat ready na muna ako bago para sigurado.”

Again I was wrong….

These three "WEIRD" men were all talking about MINDSET and HEARTSET.

Growing Old does not make one Grow up

Growing Up does not make one Mature

Having a Healthy Body does not make one have Good Health

Having Businesses does not make one an Excellent Entrepreneur

Having Millions does not make one a MILLIONAIRE

Having Billions does not make one a BILLIONAIRE

You could have 1,000,000 and see it as 20,000
or
You could have 20,000 and see it as 1,000,000


It's up to you...



How MANY is One and a Half Million?

Yes. Kaunti lang din ang 1.5 Million...

One last thing…

Immense abundance is everywhere. We just need to claim it. We don't even have to be ready.

It is a privilege to receive immense abundance. And it is a privilege as well to “give back” such immense abundance. 

That’s why I have “given back” this One and a Half Million to an organization I believe in. It’s a start.

We are after all, stewards of HIS will.
